The leadership of Nigerian Correctional Officers Wives Association (NICOWA), Nasarawa State Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the new Controller of Corrections (CC) Ya'u Ibrahim, fsi, in his office in Lafia today.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Monica Stephen Abene, stated that the purpose of the visit was to identify and inform the Controller of the existence of NICOWA in the State.

Mrs Monica Stephen said that NICOWA needs his fatherly advice and support as a patron to succeed. "You may use your good office to advise other officers to allow their wives to join this progressive association so together we can achieve the goal of our motto: we care too."

Responding, CC Ya'u Ibrahim, fsi, assured of his administration's readiness to render assistance when the need arises.

CC Ya'u Ibrahim urged them to pray for their husbands and always create a favourable home environment. " I urge you to be patient with your husbands, play a complementary role and all of that to create a peaceful home." He said.
