The Executives of the Nigerian Correctional Officers’ Wives Association (NICOWA) organized a heartwarming surprise birthday celebration in honour of their National President, Mrs Victoria Sylvester Nwakuche, in recognition of her exemplary leadership and selfless service to the Association.

The event, which took place at the National President’s residence in Abuja, was filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt tributes as members and well-wishers gathered to celebrate a woman whose vision, compassion, and dedication have continued to inspire NICOWA women nationwide.

In her remarks, the National Vice President Haj. Khadijat Idris described the celebrant as “a leader with a mother’s heart, firm in purpose, humble in service, and deeply committed to the welfare of NICOWA women and their families.”

The surprise celebration featured goodwill messages, presentations, songs, and prayers for continued grace, wisdom, and good health for the President. Members expressed appreciation for her transformative leadership, especially her efforts in strengthening the Association’s welfare programmes, promoting educational support, and championing empowerment initiatives.

In her response, the visibly moved National President thanked the Executives and members for their thoughtfulness and affection, describing the gesture as “deeply touching and encouraging.” She reaffirmed her commitment to the vision of building a more united, impactful, and service-driven NICOWA.

The colourful event concluded with a symbolic cake-cutting and a toast to many more years of fruitful leadership and divine grace.
